I’ve been a Windows platform software developer for nearly eight years. I’ve NEVER had a PC or Windows server bomb on me. Whenever I have to integrate with Lenix or Unix shops the ALWAYS use ancient protocols and services. I’ve never had to integrate with an Apple shops (because there aren’t any). I don’t hate Apple, because its good for artists and stuff. My first computer was a Mac. And as I said before I was with Bungie before it was Microsoft. And I do not have an XBOX 360. I’m not sold out to Microsoft, but I’ve not found anything as awesome as the Microsoft developer community. I personally think that anyone who says that Apple stinks or PC’s stink are computer newbies–total non-hackers. And if you think a hacker is a bad thing, you are total newbie/non-hacker too. Both Gates and Jobs were hackers.

And Windows ME DID suck. But no one used it for anything important. It was total grandma-ware. “If you know how to work an Apple, you know how to work an Apple Phone.” I totally agree, this is because Apple computers are over-sized mobile devices. Windows 8 is following this trend buy using the Windows Phone-like interface on Windows. God help use, its horrible! Why does everything have to be so friggin’ pretty. I want my interfaces to be ergonomic and work well, that is all. And I specialize in software interfaces.

I LOVE the Doctor Who! Its the only Sci-Fi that I could get my wife to love. We don’t have cable so we have to wait to watch Season 6 and it is killing us. Ugh!
